HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY BRENDIN!!!

This is my first post in along time wow! Today Brendin is 5 years old, I can not believe how fast he is growing up.. I couldn't for a more awesome little boy, he is always happy and loving. I love him so much. We had a birthday party on friday with all his friends, he had a great time, and today we went a saw 101 dalmations a musical, it was super cute. After we went to olive garden for dinner and then went back to my moms for presents and ice cream! He had a great day. Happy Birthday my big boy. My camera died so these are the only pics I have for now, they are from his party with his friend. I will beable to post more later.

I thought I would make a little post since it has been so long..The computer hasn't been working for awhile, but I got it to work today! Life has been super crazy, with me working and the kids running around like crazy! Ethan and Ayla are growing so fast, it is so fun to watch them, they are starting to interact with each other more and more, its super cute... Ayla is getting her back molers, so she hasn't been to happy lately, she can say a bunch of words, like ball, up, more, thank you, whats that...etc. she is very smart, she know part of the ABC's she know A-D. She is very dramatic and demanding also, I think that's cuz she is a girl. Im glad I only have one!:) Ethan is the sweetest little boy,he is usually very chill, but oh can he get mad, Do Not take something away from him. They always wants what the other has. haha. Ethan loves balls, he walks around all the time saying "Where's the ball" its cute. He loves music he's always dancing and moving his head to the beat. He also loves the ABC's, I haven't heard him say any letters yet. But he says all the same words as Ayla including puppy, loves saying puppy..They love playing outside, they are constanly bringing me there shoes.
Brendin just finished his first year of preschool, he has a bestfriend named Dominic, they are going to be in swimming leasons together over the summer. Next year he will be going to preschool 3 days a week, I think it will be really good for him. He is getting very independent and a bit of an attitude, he can be very sweet when he wants. He loves his brother and sister most of the time, but hates when they want to play with any of his toys, so he usually goes in his room and shuts the door so they can't get anything he's playing with.

Easter

We had a pretty good Easter, we went to church in the morning came home and put Ethan and Ayla down for a nap. While they were naping I colored easter eggs with Brendin. While we were doing that Quentin, Alexa and Daniel hid Easter eggs in the backyard. After the kids woke up, we had an easter egg hunt, opened baskets and ate some yummy candy. They got some cute stuff! Later that night we went to my Dad's house for a turkey dinner, it's was very good :)....We have had some really nice days lately so we have been going outside a lot more, the kids love it and it wears them out really fast so the babies take good naps!

Ethan & Ayla's Birthday Party!

We had a big party for Ethan & Ayla, I made them there own little cakes and we had a lot of our family there. I made spaghetti and our family sauce.yum. We got tons of new clothes(so awesome) and few toys. Ayla had a huge meltdown when we started singing happy birthday, I think she was a little overwhelmed with all the people standing in front of her, so she didn't eat much cake and we didn't get as many pics of her because we were trying to calm her down. Ethan Loved it, he just sat there and smiled and ate his cake. I still can't believe they are a year old, it went by sooo fast they are such awesome babies, we love them so much and so does big brother. The pics aren't exactly in order.. Thank you everybody for there gifts!

Our trip to Monterey & Random Pics!

We had a really fun trip to Monterey last week, we went to the aquarium, which is so neat, there is so much for the kids to do, they all loved it! Brendin loved seeing the sharks and they have a scuba diver that goes in one of the tanks and feeds the fish, he also talks to everybody about all the fish and stuff. We also went and played at a really cool park by the ocean and then took the kids down by the water and let Ethan & Ayla put there toes in the sand and ocean for the first time. It was a little chilly so they weren't to sure about it, our camera died so we didn't get any pics of the ocean, just video and I'm still figuring out how to download the video to my computer, we need a certain program or something.

Hope everybody had a great day, Quentin and I went out last night to a really neat fondue place called Chocolate Bar, it was really good. Oh man did the babies love there suckers espcially Ethan. Brendin had a party at school and got a bunch of candy and valentines. Thanks everybody for all the valentines gifts :). Showers Already?!

Brendin decided about 2 weeks ago that he didn't like taking baths anymore and wanted to start taking showers, he used to hate showers. I thought kids took baths a lot longer than that, but he is a big boy!! He is such a smarty pants, all his teachers love him at school. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. :( It makes me sad when I look at his baby pictures, I think where has the time gone? My baby is not a baby.

I finally found a job at Ageless Zone Salon & Spa, it is super nice and in a pretty good location right by the mall. I start next week so I'm pretty nervous and excited, I will be renting a spot, now it's all up to me to by all my stuff. If you live here or know anybody who does send them to me.

Today is Quentin's Birthday, he has to work, that sucks. We had a nice party for him last night with our families he got Home Depot gift cards, just what he wanted to build his little music space in our garage. Yesterday after church we went bowling with some friends while my cousin and his wife watched the kids, we had a lot of fun!

So I take it nobody knew the answer to my last question, that is ok.We really have not been doing much at all lately. My cousin came into town a couple of weeks ago and we all just hung out, we didn't do a whole lot, Quentin got to go snowboarding with my cousins boyfriend. The babies are 10 months old, wow, 2 more months and they will be 1, yeah no more bottles! Ayla is such a sweetheart and very out spoken, besides saying momma and dadda she loves to say hi to everybody and when the phone rings she says hi, she also says bye bye and does the little backwards wave. She crawls really well she pulls herself up on things and walks around it slowly. She loves her daddy so much she gets so excited when he comes home. She has two bottom teeth and she loves to blow raspberries while she is eating!
Ethan is just the sweetest little boy, he just melts your heart, he says momma and dadda, and just started saying hi and doing the backwards wave. He is a pretty quiet boy but can be very demanding he tells us when he wants something, he gets soo mad sometimes. He is a mommies boy, he loves to cuddle and he really loves music he always dances when there is music playing, he likes to play with daddy's guitar. He crawls really well and pulls himself up on everything and does really well at walking around stuff, I think he might walk first. He has two bottom teeth, he is a really good eater. We just recently moved Ethan's crib into Brendin's room because he kept waking Ayla up. It is going Ok so far he has woke Brendin up a couple of times.
Brendin is getting big so fast, he really likes preschool, even though he doesn't like to admit it sometimes. He loves to play outside and ride his bike. He loves his brother and sister most the time, except when the try and play with his toys. He is super smart and will talk your ear off, especially in the car. Brendin loves to help his daddy with his car and building stuff, he loves using all the tools. He also loves music, he like to play on the drums. He can be a bit of a challenge sometimes he is very stubborn, but also he can be so sweet.
I'm going to start doing hair again in about a week or so, I found a job at a really nice salon called Metamorphosis it is in a great area to build up clients, the owner wants me to bring in a model and do a cut and color on her, she wants to see what I can do. Hopefully it works out. I was going to rent my own space, but it is pretty expensive and I need to build my clientele more, so I'm just doing commission until I have enough people coming to me. So anybody that lives here needs to come see me!:) Here are a bunch of cute pictures!!

Ok so on this main post page I have a solid brown background but I don't want that I want the background to be the template that I picked, but I do not know how to get rid of that solid background?? Hopefully that makes sense. Does anybody knows how to change it?? If so please let me know!!

I'm a little behind on posting, so here is a what we did for Christmas. My brother and his family came to visit us, we had so much fun seeing them and hanging out with the kids, we got to celebrate Adam's 1st birthday with them, we miss them already. On Christmas Eve we all went out to a nice dinner and after we were done we went back to my moms and had some yummy cookies, Adam ended up taking over my cookies and milk, but that is ok because it was so cute he was dipping the cookie in the milk and would put it up to his mouth and keep doing that, it was cute! We got the kids ready for bed at my moms and brought them home, we put cookies and milk out for Santa and then off to bed they went. After all the kids were asleep Quentin and I stayed up until midnight putting together toys(so we didn't have to that morning) and wrapping presents. Christmas morning Me, Quentin and the kids opened presents, they got some pretty neat stuff. Then we made breakfast for everybody, my family came over for breakfast and hung out for awhile and Q's parents came over. It was a nice day, we were so tired by dinner time, I think it is all the excitement. We had dinner at my moms house. We had a delicious tri tip, mashed potatoes, rolls and all the other good stuff. We had such a nice Christmas with our families, I am so happy my brother got to be with us, we loved spending time with them, especially Adam. Thank you to everybody for all the great presents, Thanks bonnie for the cute bows you made Ayla, I love them!!!!! That is what we did all summed up. Here are a bunch of pics. Enjoy!

Christmas Program & Santa

Brendin had a Christmas program the other night for school. It was so darn cute they sang like six songs, a couple of them were, we wish you a merry Christmas, reindeer song, a Christmas tree song. Brendin did really well and then after the program Santa came out and all the kids got to sit on his lap and he gave them a book and candy cane Brendin looked so amazed to see him and talk to him, it was priceless, Ethan and Ayla got to sit on his lap also. Ethan just kept looking at him and Ayla was ok for a minute then she started to get a little scared.

Brendin had such a great Birthday he has so many people that love him. He got lots of cool toys, all his grandparents were here to celebrate, my little brother and sister and one of his uncles was there also. Thank you Jason, Bonnie and Adam, Brendin really loved his Transformers and video he said it is what he always wanted :) we wish you could have been here to celebrate with us. Thank you to all the grandparents for all the wonderful gifts Brendin really loves them all. Quentin made an awesome monster truck cake for B and it only to 4 sheet cakes to make! haha. It took awhile to make but Quentin really wanted to make it for Brendin and he enjoyed making it. Some of the pictures are a little blurry because he was so excited and he was bouncing around. I still can't believe he is 4 already, my baby boy is growing up :( He is so great and such a blessing to have in our lives we love him so much!!!

Wow Brendin is 4 years old today! I can't believe how fast it has flown by, it was like yesterday that I just had him, I feel old now. Brendin has such a special spirit to him he has brought so much joy to all of our lives. On Wednesday we had a party for him and his friends at jump man jump, it is a place that has big inflatable slides and obstacle course, they all had so much fun. Today we are having a birthday party for him with just the immediate family. Here are some pictures from over the years, there are a lot so look if you want to. Christmas is coming

I'm so excited that Christmas is right around the corner. I love this time of year. This year is so much better than last, I get to be at home with my family(and not in the hospital) and we have two new babies to celebrate with, my brother and his family will be here, we are so excited!. We got all are decorations up and decorated the tree and the house. My dad got us a cute blow up Charlie brown thing for the front yard. Brendin loves Charlie Brown.

Ethan and Ayla are now crawling. Ayla army crawls because she knows she can go faster that way and Ethan took the time to figure out how to do it the right way but both ways work. They both have one toofer poking out, they look so cute. They absolutely love singing patty cake they both clap and smile the second we start singing it. We started putting them in the bath together and the love that Ayla yells and splashes and Ethan plays and just loves it, it is a little bit harder just because they move around so much so we really have to watch them so the don't fall over but they love it. All the kids have had a cold this past week. Brendin is doing well his Birthday is coming up so we are looking foward to that, he also has a little christmas program at school in a couple weeks. Quentin and Brendin have a movie night every once in awhile and it is so cute, they both cuddle up in bed and watch a movie and I get a little time to myself to watch something I want.

Thanksgiving

I have been so lazy about posting lately, there has been a lot going on around here with sick kids and Quentin's car breaking, Again!. For Thanksgiving we went to Quentin's parents and had lunch it was really good. Even the babies had some sweet potatoes, green beans, they tried cranberry sauce but were not to happy about it. Also Quentin's friend Shane and his family had Thanksgiving with us and stayed at our house for a few days. We had a great day and we have so much to be thankful for.

Time and Eternity

4 years ago today we were sealed together for time and eternity. Today we all went up to the temple and walked around, we took some pictures(thanks Merridy for being our photographer). It was a beautiful day, after that we went to Swenson's and had some ice cream just like we did after our sealing.

What's new

There are just a couple of new things going on around here, Ayla got here first tooth a couple of weeks ago and Ethan hasn't cut through yet but you can see were there are coming in and he is soooo very cranky. Ethan can get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth almost moving himself forward. Ayla pulls herself with her arms and pushes with her feet, it is funny to watch but it gets her around. They get pretty frustrated though because they know what they want to do but don't know just what to do. They are both talking a lot, Ayla is just a bit louder than Ethan, they both say Momma really well and Ayla says Dadda a lot, Ethan has this terrible high pitch screech he does when he is mad. Tomorrow they will be 8 months old, Wow!! Brendin has been going through some mood changes lately, I'm hoping he will get through all this real soon. He loves music, I turned Alvin and the Chipmunks on the other day and he grab his pretend microphone and was dancing and singing, it was so cute!

5 Years!

We have been married for 5 crazy years. It really doesn't feel that long I remember our wedding day like it was yesterday, I still wish I could wear my wedding dress everyday I love it. Quentin and I met through my brother, they were good friends through high school so I have known Quentin since I was 13 but I wasn't interested in him until after he got back from his mission and I was 17 by then, I was to young before to care anyways. . We dated for about 2 years before we decided to get married. 5 months after we got married I got pregnant with my little boy.(well now he is to big). Our lives have been an adventure filled with love, 3 beautiful children later and it keeps getting better. I'm so happy that my brother let me date his friend or I wouldn't have found my love. We have two anniversaries to celebrate on the 19th four years ago we were sealed for time and eternity at the Reno temple. I was actually 8 1/2 months pregnant with Brendin when we got sealed, that is so crazy to think about. Our scanner is not working, so I could not scan any of our wedding pics, hopefully I will be able to figure out something soon. We already celebrated our anniverary on Tuesday because Q has to work today, we had a nice peaceful dinner together at the outback, it is weird not having to juggle children at dinner time.

Halloween night my parents came over to help because Q had to work, so we all had pizza and Me, my mom, step dad all took the kids trick-or-treating, we went about 2 blocks and came home for a rest, Quentin had just got home so him, my dad and Cindy took Brendin out for another block or so, the babies had enough so they stayed behind. We had lots of fun, Ayla tried her first lollipop, she liked it but lost interest pretty fast, Ethan fell asleep before he could have any, to much excitement for one night. It was funny when we were getting candy, when Brendin would get something he didn't like or couldn't have because it had peanuts, he would say (in front of the people) uhh I don't want this, I don't like this or I cant have this. So I told him just say thank you and walk away, I learned to just pull him away before he could say anything in front of people, kids there just so funny.

A little update

The babies are growing so fast, they are now sitting up by themselves, they still fall over sometimes. They are eating all the baby foods and they love eating bananas from the mesh thing it is so cool I love it, both of them love to watch each other while they are eating. It is funny when they eat fruit they make a sour face because they are not used to something so sweet, normally I mix it with there cereal. They are just rolling all over the house and I know they want to crawl so bad so they kind scoot on there belly. They both are very loud and talk and scream a lot. Both of them say mama and dada mostly babbling it is cute. Brendin is great he is getting so big and very independent he wants to do everything by himself, wich is good but kind of sad for me, he is growing up. He can spell his name and we are teaching him how to write it he catches on pretty fast, he also learns writing and stuff in school. so that is about the little ones!! Quentin and I went on a date the other night to a movie we saw Nights in Rodanthe its a chick flip but a real tear jerker even the men that were in the movies were wiping there eyes, it was good but sad.
Oh my goodness I can't believe it as I am writing this it is snowing outside like crazy, I think this is one of the earliest snow seasons I have every seen it is insane, there is so much snow outside right now and it is so cold!! This is so crazy it feels like Christmas time.

Yosemite Trip!

Quentin had the week off so we went on our first family trip through Yosemite. Quentin wanted to drive all they way through the park, I didn't realize it was such a long drive, but it was beautiful. We saw a couple of deer along the way, we stopped and checked them out, they were so close to us. By the end of the drive through Yosemite to the hotel the babies were so sick of being in there car seats they cried for the last 20 minutes. The next morning we went to the Sugar Pine Railroad and took an hour steam train ride, Brendin really loved it. The ride was pretty neat, they just talked about all the logging they did bake in the day. After that we went and had some lunch, then continued on back through the park and stopped and looked at Half Dome and I cant remember what the other mountain was called but it was a beautiful site to see. On we went to Bridalveil Fall, it was the shortest hike we could find to a waterfall. As we were walking up to see the falls with the babies in there baby Bjorn's an older couple from Austria stopped us a wanted to take a picture of us and look at the babies, I think they missed there grand kids back at home. Then when we got up to the waterfall a big group from Belgium that was on a bus tour came up and kind of swarmed around us just memorized with our kids, one of the ladies wanted to hold Ethan while Q took Brendin up the rocks a little closer to the water. She just holding him and all the people were coming up a saying Hi to both of them and Ayla just looked up at me like Mom who are these people! It is so funny when there are more than just one baby people think it is just so fascinating. They were such nice people. After that we just drove through Yosemite Valley and looked around and then headed back home. It was a nice trip with the family, I think next we will make it a longer trip though, we were only there 2 days you could stay there at least 4 or so.

6 Months Old!

Trying sweet potatoes for the first time!

The babies are doing great they had there 6 month check on Wednesday Ethan weighs 16lbs 10oz. and is 27 inches, Ayla weighs 15lbs 9oz. and is 26 inches so they are pretty close. Ayla screamed her lungs out at the doctor and when she got her shots and Ethan was just very calm and only cried for a second when he got his shots, they are like night and day when it comes to personalities. They are healthy and they get to start eating some real food, how exciting! We started with sweet potatoes, they seemed to like but they made a weird face like what is this it is cute watching them. Both of them can sit up for a minute or so and sometimes catch themselves before the fall but they are almost there, they both roll all over the place and stick there butts up in the air wanting to crawl. It hasn't got much easier with two but I'm getting used to it a I know them real well and they are for the most part on a schedule. They both still wake up in the middle of the night mostly Ethan so we need to break them of that real soon. It is hard having twins but I wouldn't change it for the world I love them so much a they are such a great blessing to our family.

We have not been doing a whole lot so I do not have much to blog about. Brendin is really liking school I switched him to two full days because half days are really not enough he always wants to stay longer. The babies 6 month check is next week so I will update on them after that. So here are some more pictures!

First Day of Preschool!

Brendin started his first day of preschool today, he looked so cute, he got a new Batman backpack and new shoes. He was so excited to go, he only goes two half days a week but now I'm really considering two full days because half days are just to short and he wants to stay longer. He made a cute picture today made from clipping out of magazines and made some new friends. My little boy is growing up I can't believe it.

Me, Brendin, Ayla and my Mom flew to Chicago to surprise my brother for his 30th birthday and his white coat ceremony for medical school. I left Ethan at home with Quentin because he is the easy one and my cousin Lynette and Q's mom had to watch for me so if I would have left Ayla they would have gone crazy because she is very high maintenance and hard to please. I missed my little boy and I felt bad but there is no way I could have brought both of them. I actually had to fly separately from my mom because we get a discount through fedex but I have to fly stand by and I couldn't get on any of her flights so I flew with Ayla and Brendin, lets just say after 2 hours on the plane I couldn't wait to get off but it's a 4 hour flight. When we got there Bonnie picked us up she has been keeping this from Jason for awhile. When we got to the house we ran to the door Jason answered, he took a step back he couldn't believe we were there, it was so neat. That night we all just hung out. The next day was Jason's B-day we went and walked around the mall, which is so nice and that night we had a big barbecue for Jason at a park we had lots of fun and it was sooo humid. Brendin loved the park it was awesome I wish we had something like that here. Friday was the ceremony and it was really nice I am very happy for Jason he is doing good, there was a lunch after that at the school which was pretty good. We all went to Olive Garden that night and then went at ate frozen custard yumm, at Lake Michigan, Brendin had fun throwing rocks. Saturday we had to leave, it was hard, we had so much fun I loved seeing Adam, Jason and Bonnie, Brendin really enjoyed seeing them. Thanks again for everything Bonnie. We miss you guys, cant wait to see you at Christmas time.

We finally splurged and got a new camera, I'm still experimenting with it so I don't have a ton of pics yet. We have been using me old film camera and it is so weird not being able to look at the pictures you have taken. We are all well now. Ethan and Ayla are getting big, there favorite thing to do now is roll on there tummies and play for a bit then get mad because they cant get back, although I have seen Ayla roll onto her back, she just gets to mad to do it every time. Brendin is great he starts preschool in a couple weeks, wow he is growing up to fast.

Sick, Sick, Sick

So after Ethan got sick then Quentin, Brendin, Me, and Ayla didn't really get to bad but you can tell she hasn't felt right. This is one nasty flu bug that is going around we are still trying to get over it, everybody that came in contact with us has got it, my moms whole house and my dad. yuck!! I don't like being that sick and with two babies to take care while Quentin was sick and then he had to do everything when I was is so very exhausting. Hopefully in the next couple of days we all will feel much better. I hope nobody else gets it.

Ethan was sick today I'm not sure where he got it from but he was throwing up all morning. I hate it when babies throw up because they don't understand that they cant eat anything so he has been so hungry :( He has been keeping his pedialyte down so that is a good sign. I feel so bad for him, poor baby. Other than that we haven't been doing a whole lot, we did attempt to go to Hot August Nights and look at cars and listen to my dad's band play, but it has been so hot outside and the babies just don't do well just sitting in there stroller they would rather be held but when its that hot it's not to fun. Maybe next year will be better, we realized we just can't do what we want anymore unless we want some screaming babies, and we have them on a good schedule so we don't want to stay out to late and ruin that. still don't have a camera , sorry:(

4 month check up!

The babies had there 4 month check up the other day which included 3 shots each so I had a couple of really cranky babies yesterday, hopefully they are feeling a little better today. They are both growing really well Ayla weighed 13lbs and is 24 3/4 inches long and she is just under 50% and Ethan weighed 14lbs 4oz. and is 25 inches long. and he is in the 50%. I cant believe how fast the first 3 months went by and it's kind of a blur. They are getting a little easier but it will still be really nice when they can do a little more for themselves. They are so different in personalities and looks and they are such a joy to have in our family, I cant wait to see them running around one day.

We have been playing in the water a lot, we took Brendin to a little water park we have close to our house and I took him to play in the water fountains at the theater with his friends Sarah and Alexis, and we also have been going swimming he has had lots of fun, the babies kind of like it too. Over the 4th of July Quentin's family came to visit and had a big family reunion out at Bowers mansion it was tons of fun and it was a big day we were out there from about ten in the morning until about 7 at night the kids played at the park and played with squirt guns they also loved pulling each other in the wagon it was so cute even though both Iain and Izaak both fell out at one point but they were ok, Brendin met some new cousin's had so much fun playing with all of them especially Iain, they are only a few months apart in age so they got along really well, we wish they lived closer. I took Brendin to see the fireworks later that night we just parked and watched from the car everybody else was to tired but B wanted to see them. Brendin played with his other cousin Leah also but they didn't get along as well but she is a cutie. The babies are doing great they are getting so big Ayla is definitely our fire cracker she will be happy one minute and just start screaming the next but she can be very sweet and Ethan is more laid back and sweet he is not as loud as her. They are starting to do more Ethan rolled over for the first time and they like playing in the excersaucer and jump a roo for a little bit so it give a little bit of time. I also had my 25th birthday on the 1st of this month I cant believe I'm 25 and I have 3 kids and I am done it's pretty cool at least I will be young when they are all done with school! There are a lot of pics and they kind of got mixed up just so everyone knows. My camera is not working for some reason but it will not turn on so I will not be able to put up any new pics until we get a new one or it magically starts working, hopefully sometime soon we can get one we will see, good cameras are not cheap. :(

I Hate Fire Season!!

We haven't been able to go outside for 3 days and there are not even any fires in Nevada they are all in California and we are getting all the smoke. It is so horrible outside we can only see like 2 miles in front of us. For me and Brendin it hurts to even breath the air because we have asthma. This really sucks we are going crazy I can't wait until this is over.

It was so cute. I went to check on Brendin today because it was really quiet and this is were he was. He fell asleep in his tent!

I was bored the other day and decided to take some pics of the babies. My camera is not the greatest but I think they turned out pretty good. I took a lot so it was hard to choose which ones to post. I am having so much fun dressing up Ayla I love having a little girl of course I love my boys to.Father's Day we went for a hike up at Crystal Peak , Quentin and Brendin were digging for crystal, we found some small ones and broken ones but nothing spectacular. I think you have to dig a lot. We also went to my cousins house and she had a big barbecue for all the Dad's it was a lot of fun it was nice because there were lots of people to take care of the babies and give me a break. I took Ayla for her first trip to the pool she looked so cute in her hat and little outfit, Brendin had so much fun except the part were he went face down over his pool noodle and couldn't get up so I ran in the pool as fast as I could and grab him it sure scared me and him, there was a life guard right there to but he didn't even move I don't know what he was thinking.

New haircut, Colds and Babies

I cut Brendin's hair the other day, he did surprisingly well but maybe because I bribed him with an Oreo milkshake. He normally screams like I'm torturing him or something he did cry a bit but I also had cartoons on for him to watch. There is not much to tell because every day we do the same thing everyday sometimes a bit different but it always includes feeding, burping. changing diapers, drooling, napes etc.... We did take some pictures today at Rancho San Rafael park it was a bit windy but hopefully we get some good pics out of it, I don't have them yet. The babies and Brendin have all had colds this past week so the babies are a wee bit cranky I'm debating whether to take them to the doctors or not to make sure they don't have an ear infection or something. They are growing fast, they are both trying to roll over Ethan almost made the other day when he was super mad. They found there hands and are chewing on them all the time it's really cute because they just stare at them trying to figure out what that thing is.

My brother, my sister- in-law and my new nephew Adam were here this week, it was the first time we got to meet Adam. We had such a good time spending time with all of them we went to the beach and caught a crawdad Brendin loved that, Jason, Quentin and B built some sand castles, all the kids were really good. We also had a few family get together's. I really miss having them living here. Adam is only 3 months older than Ethan and Ayla so when they are older it will be fun to get them together. Adam is such a cute boy, I didnt get as many pictures as I would have liked so bonnie you will have to send me some :) I miss him already...

Ethan and Ayla received a name and a blessing on May 18 it was a very special day. Quentin blessed Ayla and Quentin's Dad blessed Ethan. Ayla wore my dress from my christening that my Aunt made she looked so beautiful. Ethan looked so handsome. It was also special because my brother and his family were able to be here. Brendin was being a turkey he didn't want to take pictures at all.

Wow 2 months alreay it's going by kind of fast. They there check up today and 3 shots each they did pretty well, Ethan barely cried and Ayla only cried for a minute. OK so I actually have a moment to post a couple things. The babes are awake a lot more now so I have even less time to do things because they want to be entertained, and there are not very easy to entertain because they cant really do much yet. Just this past week they are starting to lay under there play gym and kind of bat at the toys hanging down but that doesn't last very long. There are also making all the cute baby sounds now I love it. They sound so sweet and they are smiling a little bit, at that can light up anybodies day. Brendin is doing great he will be starting preschool in August 2 half days a week, he says he doesn't want to go but I know he will like it. I think the 3's are so much more challenging than 2's because he definitely has an attitude but he can also be so sweet. He always loves to give the baby's kisses and says how much he loves them. It was so funny the other day Brendin was in the car with Quentin and Ethan (by the way Ethan hates his car seat he screams the entire time he is in it), they were at the dump and of course Ethan was just wailing and Brendin asked "Dad are we going to leave Ethan at the dump?" Quentin said "No" "But why not Dad". Brendin does not like listening to them crying all the time and he certainly made that known. I asked him later about what he said and he just started laughing, he said he does love his brother though. :)

We finally concord the potty training ( I hope)!!! The other day Brendin pooped his pants and it stunk so bad and I was so sick of changing him so I left him in it for a while and made him go outside because I didn't want to smell him, he didn't like that to much but I think that is what finally made it click in his head. I'm so glad I don't have to change a 3 year olds diaper anymore. We went to the store and got him big boy underwear, he picked out Thomas the Train and Diego. He is growing so fast I'm so proud of him.

Well I finally have a moment of time, Quentin has gone back to work he leaves at about 5:30 in the morning and usually does not get home until around 7, so I rarely have a time where I can just sit down, there is always something to do or Im just to tired. The babies eat about every 3 to 4 hours but they love to be held so when I put them down to sleep it takes a while to get them to just be calm. They are getting bigger Ayla weighs about 7lbs and Ethan weighs about 7 1/2lbs so I can dress them in some of there clothes they look so cute, they are only in newborn sizes and some 0-3 month, I cant believe they are 4 weeks already. Taking care of twins is definitely one of the biggest challenges for me right now Im hoping it gets easier, but my mom comes over to help as much as possible and that is nice. My cousin Laura came to visit last week, we didn't get to do much except go to the mall and walk around, its a lot of work getting 3 kids ready and out the door, Im exhausted by the time we get to leave, but I enjoyed having her here she was a big help. Brendin is doing Ok he is laking the attention he used to get so he is being more of a fart now, and potty training is still a challenge he is so stubborn. Im hoping for a nice day soon so we can go outside for a walk or something Im going crazy. I hope everyone is doing well!!

Wow I cant believe it has been 2 weeks already. Ethan's cord fell off last night, no more sponge baths yeah! maybe he wont cry as much now. Now I'm just praying for the night that they sleep soundly for more than 2 or 3 hours. They are sweet hearts though I cant believe I have 3 kids. Quentin goes back to work next week, that is going to be such a big adjustment Im not looking forward to it. My cousin Laura is coming next week so it will be nice to have her around to help.

We had a beautiful Easter Sunday, it was like 60 degrees or so outside. I finally got to go to church I haven't been since I got put on bed rest so it was nice a lot of work getting 3 kids and ourselves out of the house but that's ok. The babies slept through church and through dinner but they gave it to us last night they wanted to be held the whole time. Brendin had lots of fun all his grandparents were here and my moms brother uncle Tom came up to visit. We had everyone over for dinner, and he had an Easter egg hunt he got tons of candy and some toys and money. What a lucky boy! He was jumping off the walls last night. It was nice having everyone here even though we were missing a few people. I hope everyone had a good day.

Lack of Sleep

I think the lack of sleep is finally catching up with me, its going to be really hard when Quentin goes back to work in another week, we really have a system down with feeding them. I'm really trying to keep them close to them same feeding schedule so we aren't constantly feeding and changing them but they are doing pretty well so far. I think we wake up at least 2 or 3 times to feed them sometimes less its definitely a challenge but they are getting bigger. They had there first doctors appt. yesterday Ethan weighed 5lbs. 13oz. he gained 6oz. since we left the hospital and Ayla weighed 5lbs. 11oz. and she gained 11oz. so they are doing good everything checked out great. Ethan hates being cold in any way changing his diaper or bathing anything that requires taking his clothes off and Ayla is more chill she doesn't mind to much but there personalities are definitely different. We are all hanging in there and Brendin is doing really well except for potty training of course but some day we will get there eventually.

One week Old

Ethan and Ayla are doing really well they eat sleep and poop a lot!! I think Ayla looks a lot like Brendin when he was that little and Ethan I'm not sure who he looks like, kind of like my dad a little. She is more laid back which is so nice and he is a little more needy but they are both good babies. They are so tiny they fit into preemie clothes they are almost to long for the clothes but there is a lot of growing room in newborn clothes. Ayla is our little piggy she chows down 2 to 3oz. in a couple minutes, Ethan has a little harder time latching on the bottle but he is getting better. They are just adorable and Brendin loves them so much he wants to kiss and hug them all the time and he likes to hold them. Brendin is doing pretty well he has become a little more of a challenge but it is expected. It is so different having babies and a toddler we have to make sure we make Brendin feel just as important. Im doing pretty well, Im still sore and still trying to fight this itchy pregnancy rash I got all over my body 2 days before I had them its horrible and mostly common with multiple pregnancies hopefully it will go away soon. Other than that we are just enjoying our new bundles of joy!!!!!

Ethan Quentin Young and Ayla Marie Young Were born Tuesday the 11th at Renown medical hospital. Ethan arrived first at 3:55 p.m. He weighed 5lbs 11oz and measured 19 inches long. Ayla came next at 3:56p.m. She weighed 5lbs 4 1/2oz and measured 18 1/2 inches long. Both are healthy and happy babies and we are thrilled to have them! Brendin our 3 year old loves his brother and sister very much and wants them home! Rhiann and i would like to thank everyone for there prayers and thoughts in our behalf during this challenging pregnancy. We have been truly blessed by our Heavenly Father with these two amazing little spirits. 37 weeks...miracles do happen!!!!!

I had my baby shower on Saturday I had a good time most my family was there and some ladies from our old ward and the new one came by, so that was nice and my cousin made the cake it turned out really cute. I got a ton of clothes mostly 3 month outfits and all of them warm, so I had to take a lot of them back to get stuff I really needed, but I kept the ones I knew i would be able to use. Thank you everyone who gave us gifts. I got some pics from the baby shower but of course my camera died. I will be 35 weeks on Monday and Im so excited I have about a week and half more on this medication then I get to take it out, so babies could come at anytime after that. If I make it that long. Im so done with this its not even funny!! Im running out of clothes to wear they are all getting to tight and there is no point to buy more thats for sure. Brendin was helping dad put shingles on maggies dog house this weekend and it was so cute, he was just sitting up there hammering the nails in like a pro, he loves doing stuff like that with quentin.

Ok so pictures dont do my belly justice and the weight of it is so uncomfortable, if i lift my shirt up it looks a lot bigger, its all out front and really low. His head is down by my right hip and they can barely even get a good measurement of his head, she is breach and her head is up under my rib kind of. I definately cant wait to see all the cute girl clothes she gets because yes they sure do make a lot more stuff for girls!! :) Brendins favorite thing to do is climb all over his daddy and be up on his shoulders. They were playing will a remote controled rock crawler truck through the window and they just looked so cute sitting there. We are actually starting to get somewhere with potty training he has stayed dry for two days now with the exception of pooping in his pull up but he is doing very good!! Im not sure if we are going to let Brendin pick the boys name but I do want to come to and agreement with him because I want him to feel apart of this in some way. So there are a lot of pics that I couldnt put on here so im just going to throw some in.

I had a doctors appt. yesterday and everything looks wonderful the babies weigh about 4lbs or so each which is so good and actually the problems i was having look better so the doctor said she thinks i will make it to 36 weeks at least we hope its hard for me to get to excited cuz of all the stuff i had to go through, but ive made it this far and the babies will be a good size for twins. We picked out names for them but brendin is arguing with us about the boys name so it makes it kind of hard, her name will be Ayla and his will either be Kaden or Ethan brendin wants Ethan so we will see. We found all of brendins baby clothes so we are starting to go through eveything and wash stuff, its so crazy seeing all these baby clothes again i cant believe he was that small, Im getting more and more exicted for these babies to come but i am extremely nervous about delivering more than likely a c- section. So other than that we are all doing well and i will definately get some pictures up this week.

Well I'm finally out of the hospital yeah!! Things are looking good so far I'm almost 32 weeks, that's really good i have at least 4 more to go that's the goal. We are borrowing one of Qs dads wheelchairs so that Q can take me places every once and a while, these babies are getting so heavy. I am so happy to be home and to be with Q and Brendin i missed them so much. I love our new house but we have so much stuff to look through, i cant believe it, i never knew we had so much. Brendin is doing really well, he likes preschool but he will not admit it, he still cries in the morning when quentin leaves him but he does have fun the rest of the day. We are still trying to potty train, he just does not want to do it, one day he will do really well the next he could care less. I just have no idea what to do. I will start catching up on pictures now that i have access to everything.

There is not a whole lot going on from since last time i posted. Brendin starts preschool next week 3 days a week only half day, he's going to have a hard time i think at first with separation anxiety but hopefully he will get used to it, he will only be there for the next month or so. I'm doing ok just bored and missing my family a lot.The babies are doing well they each weigh about 2lbs and he is already beating up on his sister, every time he kicks he knees her in the back he is already a fart like his dad, but everything looks good so far nothing has gotten worse, so that is good. Quentin is moving our stuff to our new house this weekend and going to start painting and cleaning the place up so I'm not missing to much there.. I don't have my camera or the hook up for it so when i get it i will start posting more pics.

stuck in the hospital

I haven't had internet for awhile but now its working thank goodness. Well as most of you might have heard I will be spending the rest of my pregnancy in the hospital because of preterm labor, so im on bed rest and hooked up to medication, not to much fun. I'm 26 weeks now and they are hoping to get me to 32 at least. It is very difficult being here and trying to make sure brendin is taken care of which of course he is we have lots of grandparents, but he will be starting daycare for a little while a couple hours a day or less. Its even harder because we are moving into our new house soon and i wont get to see it until i have the babies so quentin has the task of getting everything ready, cleaning , painting, unpacking you know all that good stuff. Im sure he will have lots of help though. We are hanging in there and will get through this at least we had some good news my brother's wife just had there baby yeah!!! he is so cute..

I bought some decorations for Brendin's birthday party (he's having a tractor theme) and some tractors to put on the cake and of course he saw them and wanted to play with them so i couldn't resist, oh well. He was also being very silly that night, he was crawling on the ground pretending he was a deer hunting for coyotes it was pretty entertaining..

So that last snow fall we had was nothing. We finally got a big snow fall it has been snowing all night and day. Brendin was so excited, we were out playing in the snow at like 9 in the morning. he wanted me to through snow balls at him he thought it was the funniest thing, we had fun!!

We finally had our first snow fall this morning it stuck but of course melted by the middle of the day it was pretty cool. Brendin and Quentin left for Washington today to visit family and play with all his cousins, they will have tons of fun! I miss him already but this will be the last time for awhile that i will have some time to myself. Well we are not having any luck with this house we made an offer on now 3 months later. so we decided to keep looking for houses we found a couple and we are going to make an offer on tues. hopefully they will except it. its not a foreclosure those are horrible to try and buy i wouldn't recommend it. The babies are doing well they are growing right on target and I'm getting sore i feel like i work out everyday or something but gaining a bunch of weight so fast and being all out front will make ya feel like that. They are pretty active its feels so weird compared to one baby.

Brendin is quite the little helper these days, he wants to help do everything whether its making food or pouring juice he wants to do it. he is going to be very independent. hes growing so fast i cant believe he is going to be 3 in a week, it has gone by so fast. now i only wish he was potty trained, he is sooo stubborn!!
